Get to Know 2theLeast

We’re a most unlikely team.
Well, actually, as a team, we’re pretty good together. Our gifts are complimentary and our
experiences have come to dovetail in a way only the Lord could orchestrate.
What’s unlikely is that He’d ask us to be here, to be doing this.
We’re normal - mostly. Not activists. All 3 of us have Leave It to Beaver-whitebread-
middle class-Christian subculture upbringings. No political protests. No wave-making.
We’ve each had moments of panic over the last few months – “Really, Lord?” But the answer is
always unmistakable – “Yep, you and her and her and now.”
So, here we are.
Two moms and a former missionary who still feels a little weird living in America.
We’re not sure what it will all look like, but action is no longer optional.
We are seeing the truth more and more frequently these days. It shows up in the books we’re
reading and on the news. It’s happening all over the world. It’s in our city.
Children are fatherless.
Water-borne illnesses kill the old and the young.
Basic health care is illusive.
People are imprisoned – in cages of brick and mortar and in those of the broken mind.
And we have been called to act.
It is a very real responsibility of those of us who know the King.
And better than that, it is an act of worship.
`For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me
something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was
sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.' (Matthew 25:35-36)
So, here we go. No expertise. No real-world experience. No business being in business. But
we’re called and we’re working to be obedient.

2theLeast exists to glorify God and to further His Kingdom by:
Feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, taking in strangers, clothing the naked, and
visiting the sick and imprisoned.

We’ll tell you more about each of us in the next few weeks. Until then, you’re invited to the task
of serving the least.
You and us – we make a good team.
